Soccer

Logan is enrolled in the Soccer Shots program after school, which meets once week. Although he joined a little later than the others he seems to be enjoying himself. Luke is not old enough for the team yet so we bring our own soccer ball along and he plays on the sidelines. He believes that he is part of the team and we just keep letting him think that *smile*. Here are some recent shots of their last two practices.

Our little soccer player

This is when we were waiting for them to bring all of the kids over to the soccer fields. Luke and I were kicking ball back and forth to one another.

Logan's first practice. He was bothered that he wasn't wearing one of the team jerseys like the other children. He got his at the end of the practice for next time!

First day of Preschool 2009

Today was the boys 1st day of preschool! This is Logan's second year and Luke's first. Luke is enrolled in the toddler program and has the same teacher that Logan had last year! Mrs. Siebert is awesome and we are so happy to have her again this year! Logan's teacher is Mrs. Beck and he has several of the same children in his class as he did last year. He is thrilled to pieces to see his friends again. We are looking forward to a fun filled school year and I am looking forward to about 5 hours of "me" time a week!!!

The boys went right into their classrooms and never looked back! The best part...we get to do it again tomorrow! Luke goes to school Tuesdays & Thursdays and Logan goes Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

4 Wheeling Adventures!

Off to Perry County to Grandpa's land to go 4 wheeling! This was the boys first time and they loved it! We enjoyed the sites of seeing the deer and the beautiful views and scenery. We will definitely be going back sometime soon.

Dreams of a yellow tractor

A couple of days ago I received a toy catalog in the mail and the boys got a hold of it. They go through page by page and just drool over all the toys "I want that one! I want it in my house!" are the little voices I hear over and over and over again! Logan took to one particular toy, the tractor pictured above. He looks at it and looks at it and looks at it until he can't see straight. He is even sleeping with it (the picture that is!) "Please mommy, please I have that tractor," over and over and over again. Yesterday I had had enough of the begging and sat him down and really explained to him that this is a big tractor and this big tractor is very expensive ($260.00 to be exact) and cost a lot of money. Logan quickly says, "I have money (he runs into Chris' office and comes yelling back) see mommy, I have money (he hands me 3 quarters) please take me to the store now so I can buy my tractor with my money!"
*********************************************************************************
We were playing in the sand today and Logan was making sand castles and he said, "Look mom, I made a sand castle," I said,"Logan good job!" he replies, "Thanks mom, that's because I am smart!" Ha! Where does this child come up with this stuff?!?!

Mommy Photo Sessions - OCNJ

Last year I started what is going to be a "family tradition" of getting the boys pictures on the beach. Ones by the dunes, on top of the life boats, etc. Last year I had a difficult time getting pictures with the boys only being 1 & 2 but this year at 2 &3 was a different story. I don't know what it was...maybe a fully belly, maybe knowing that they were going to go on rides next...but they were in fabulous moods and were just "on!" When we know that our family is complete we will be getting professional photos done on the beach, but until then "Mommy Photo Sessions" are just going to have to do! These are some of my favorites.

Ocean City, NJ 2009

We just arrived back from our first week in Ocean City for 2009! What a perfect age and what a perfect trip for our family this year. The boys enjoyed themselves so much as well as Chris and I. Logan and Luke loved their "big sandbox" and were so content playing in the sand and running in and out of the ocean as well as looking for seashells for their friend Gregory and their Nana. Chris and I were able to sit back and relax and watch them play. We had awesome weather, watched beautiful fireworks, ate yummy food, played mini golf (Logan is good. He got a hole in one by skill - not chance!), rode some fun rides, saw dolphins in the ocean (yes, here in NJ!), took long walks, had mini mommy photo sessions, and dug many many roads, tunnels, built sand castles and made friends on the beach. Logan took a particular interest in one boy names Wally! He is still asking about him and hoping to see him again when we are back in a couple of weeks. Out of about 200 pictures taken here are a few of my favorites. I might be posting more after I sift through them all!

Move Over Tricycle

Luke has graduated to a 12" bike...Logan's to be exact! Just yesterday Luke has discovered that he too is big enough for Logan's new bike. He enjoys riding it around in the garage as well as the driveway. For now he is kind of content letting Luke ride his bike knowing that he never stays on it too long. Today Logan reminded me that he only rides it for a minute!
