We thought that we would beat the heat today and go to the Baltimore Aquarium. Much to our surprise the Aquarium was almost just as hot inside as it was outside. After the aquarium we were able to meet up with friends and spent some time at Inner Harbor.
The aquarium does not allow strollers inside however they do have a stroller check and do provide front/ back carriers to those who need them. We opted for a back carrier for Luke as we thought that would be easier.
The aquarium was packed in the morning but by after lunch we were able to view the fish and go through the exhibits without any crowds. The boys got up close and personal with many different species of fish, sting rays, sharks, sea turtles, frogs, lizards, snakes, dolphins and many others sea animals. We were able to watch up close the feeding of the sting rays and sea turtles which was very neat and very enjoyable. We traveled through the aquarium, Australia, The Rain forest (didn't spend much time in there as the temp. was soaring!!!), Dolphin and Frog Exhibits as well as many others. One of our personal favorites was Australia were we were able to see many different lizards, snakes, alligators, sea turtles, birds, bats and other beautiful animals.
Some of Logan's favorites were the turtles, which he would yell at the top of his lungs and with much passion, TURTLES, he also enjoyed the sharks and the frogs. Luke was in a backpack carrier for the morning but after nearly breaking Chris' back (he weighs 28 lbs) we took him out and he enjoyed himself tremendously! He was so cute waving to the fish and saying "Hiiiiiii" as well as clapping, laughing and letting out some pretty loud shrieks! He was right up against the glass and would just laugh as the fish, sharks and all the other sea life would swim by.
Here are some pictures of our day. I must say that these aren't the best pictures because all the boys wanted to do was watch the sea life and not take 30 sec. to look at the camera for a picture. So most of the pictures are from behind. So, we hope you enjoy looking at the back of their heads! :)
